PrashnaCombustAsta
When a planet sits within 6-12° of the Sun, it's combust (asta) — its rays are absorbed. In Prashna, a combust significator is one of the strongest no-signals.
Combust orbs
- Mercury: 12-13°.
- Venus: 8-10°.
- Mars: 17°.
- Jupiter: 11°.
- Saturn: 15°.
- Moon: full or void cycle separately.
What combustion does in Prashna
- Negates the planet's normal influence.
- When the karaka is combust, the matter is denied or postponed.
- When Lagna lord is combust, the asker lacks clarity.
Workarounds
- Wait for the planet to leave combustion (days to weeks).
- Re-ask the question afterwards.
- Don't take action while significator is combust.
