A Prashna asked at a clean moment yields a sharp answer. Asked at a polluted moment, even an honest question gets a muddled chart. Knowing time-windows is half the discipline.

Best times

  • Brahma Muhurta (about 1.5 hours before sunrise).
  • Mid-morning, after sunrise calm has settled.
  • Early evening twilight.
  • When the asker is calm, focused, sincere.

Times to avoid

  • Mula Gandanta (junction-points of certain nakshatras).
  • Eclipses (Surya/Chandra grahan).
  • Rahu Kaal of the day.
  • Yamaganda or Gulika kaal.
  • When the asker is angry, drunk, or distracted.

Practical guidance

  • Calm down for 5 minutes before asking.
  • Avoid asking immediately after waking.
  • Best to ask after a small meditation.
  • If unsure of time validity, the Prashna tool flags problems automatically.
